It All Started With Our Favorite Chicken Soup Recipe!
Hi! We’re Michelle & Jake, the founders of Souper Cubes®.
In 2017, we were making chicken soup and had an idea that changed our lives forever. Whenever we made this recipe, we always ran into the same problem:

What are the trays made from?
Our Souper Cubes line of trays are made from 100% US FDA-food grade silicone. Our MyMilk line of trays are made from 100% pure platinum silicone. All of our trays are free of BPA, lead, PVC, and phthalates.
Can I put the trays in the dishwasher?
Yes, both the trays and lids are dishwasher safe. We recommend using the dishwasher (on a normal cycle) to clean your Souper Cubes trays and lids after each use. This is the best way to make sure your Souper Cubes are as clean as possible.
How long do they take to freeze?
It depends on the content and the temperature of the food that you’re freezing. However, most foods can take up to 24 hours to freeze. Foods with high water content tend to take longer to freeze than foods like mashed potatoes or rice.
How can I remove odor from the trays?
We have never had any residual smells or odors even though we’ve been using the same tray for over for several years to freeze foods with garlic, onions, tomatoes, ginger, cumin, and other spices/ingredients. We always recommend using a dishwasher to clean your Souper Cubes. If you do not have access to one, then clean with soap and hot water. Still have a slight smell in the trays? You can try a baking soda plus vinegar wash or baking your trays in a 300F oven for 30 minutes.
Can I use the trays for baby food and breast milk?
Make sure to sterilize your Souper Cubes before your first use. You can boil your Souper Cubes trays or use your dishwasher’s sterilization feature. Between each use, clean your Souper Cubes with soap and hot water.
How useful are the measurement fill lines?
The measurement markings are super useful for knowing just how much you’re freezing, making for perfectly portioned meals later.
Is there a trick to popping the frozen food out?
Let the frozen tray sit on your counter for 3-5 minutes, then simply push on the bottom.
Can I use the trays for commercial cooking?
Yes, several commercial kitchens including farms, commercial dairy companies, meal prep companies, and restaurants have used Souper Cubes for portioning stews and soups, packing butter, and more.

I like to cook but don't always have time. Prepping extra and freezing in measured portions that store easily because they are perfect rectangles is far more appealing to me than buying frozen food with so many additives and so much salt. I have several sizes of these trays and they are all fantastic. They are sturdy (the internal metal frame is key) and food releases easily whether it's baked or frozen. The lids fit perfectly and are also sturdy. This is a dramatic upgrade from my previous approach of freezing in plastic freezer bags or splitting large volumes into multiple ice cube trays.

I have used small volume (~1.5 oz) silicone freezing trays for years to store surplus foods like extra sauce, oat pulp, etc. I have the smaller (2 Tbl) Souper Cube tray that is very nice for small volumes, mini muffins, etc., but I also find this half cup size very useful. I have used this tray to bake veggie/egg bars (I filled them up halfway - the internal volume markings are very useful) and to freeze measured portions of cooked lentils (I like to add them to ground meat...great for my family's budget AND our health!). It's nonstick - everything comes out very easily. This is a very useful tray for cooking and freezing food and/or ingredients in convenient, measured amounts. I have an enchilada sauce that makes 3x as much as I need for the recipe I usually use it for. I have previously frozen the extra sauce in multiple small portions then stored those frozen pods in a bag. Now I can have more convenient volumes in a more convenient shape. These trays are so sturdy (the inner metal frame is great) and the lid fits perfectly. Highly recommend.

This tray is really great. I have used silicone freezing trays that are thinner with rounded compartments for years, but I now much prefer the Souper Cube trays I have. The internal metal frame makes them sturdy enough to be easily manageable when moving them around between counter, oven, and freezer. They are also easy to fill. The lids fit perfectly and are also very sturdy. I have used this 2 Tbl tray for baking and freezing and it works well for both. It is nonstick and easy to get the baked/frozen blocks out. I have used this tray to make (and then freeze extras of) mini muffins and mini meatloaves that are the perfect size for my toddler. I have also used this tray to freeze little blocks of oat pulp after I make oat milk. Easy to grab one, know exactly how much I'm getting, and thaw it for whatever I need it for. I highly recommend this product.

I love how easy it is to freeze perfect portion sizes with Souper Cubes. Vacuum seal the cubes and I can stockpile soups for an easy dinner or lunch all year.
These are very durable and i also love the wire rim which makes it more stable and leas likely to spill.
